Could you tell us about your role at Mazars?
I work as secretary predominately for the audit service line, but I also support other service lines as well, here at the Milan office, which I joined in December 2019. Alongside my team members, Valentina and Vasjana, I take care of several administrative activities from the finalisation of proposals, reports, and general documentations to procurement duty, travel management and so much more. It’s quite a dynamic role full of activities and interactions with people across the firm.
What is your passion and how do you balance it with your career?
I have been passionate about music since I was 13. My interest started with singing and then shortly after I bought a guitar and attended music school throughout high school, so from a young age, I learned how to manage my passion with my duties. Now as I have grown and developed in my career, I make sure to always dedicate some private time for my passions. Typically, I set time aside on the weekend to play acoustic, which is not a genre per se, but it is a term that best describes my musical expression. I like to mix pop, gospel and soul music, as well as disco songs and sing them in acoustic. On average, I play about three times per week, sometimes at home, and other times at bars across the city with my band. I also have a YouTube channel where I upload my covers from time to time.
In what ways has Mazars enabled you to grow both professionally and personally?
When I first started my career, I was looking for a job where I could express myself both personally and professionally. And at Mazars, the work environment was an extremely welcoming place where I could show both my skills and personal traits. Mazars also offers resources such as webinars related to everyday life and well-being on topics like health and the environment. This underlines an attention to the interests and needs of its employees and perfectly aligns with the vision I had when searching for a new role because it allowed me to grow on multiple levels. Having a job where I can feel good during working hours and still have the time in my off hours to focus on my passion makes me a better professional and individual.
